This game is perfect. The combat is perfect, the enemy types are varied and fun, the boss battles are epic, the side quests are beautiful and never feel like busy work. The story is flawless and emotional and every moment is earned. I can't speak highly enough of this game. I can't even imagine how a video game could ever be better than this. This is an absolute achievement in the art.

This one is really disappointing because there are some cool ideas here but they are lost behind the most cluttered UI I've ever seen and drowning in bugs. This feels like an unfinished beta. I honestly don't think we'll see a good Madden until they take a year off, this production schedule is too tight for them to actually fix this mess of a franchise. I think their best bet might be to turn this version into a games-as-a-service model for the next three years so a small team can support new rosters etc while a more robust team rebuilds it from the ground up. I think this is my last Madden until something drastic happens and I only bought this so I would have a football game on ps5.

It's fun as a game but as far as story and characters it's one of the weaker entries into the series. I don't understand Eivor's motivations. At one moment she's a blood thirsty raider burning and pillaging and the next she's pushing for peace and an end to violence. It's not a growth in her character as she's right back to pillaging in the next mission. Maybe this part is just me but the battle rapping parts seem a bit out of place too. Overall, a decent game especially if you're super into the AC series like me but definitely doesn't live up to Origins or Odyssey (even though it copied and pasted so many aspects of those games). I have it ranked as my 7th favorite entry. Just below Revelations and above Syndicate.
