The book has a lot of interesting facts and definitely opens up a part of WW 2 history that has been very under-reported. It is unfortunately a very disorganized “hodge lodge” of names, places, and information. I never got acquainted with the main characters whose stories could have been much better told. A different approach to telling the very compelling stories would have made it a memorable read. Sadly, the book fails to capture the readers attention. It felt like a relief to finish each chapter. The reviews that were used on the cover to promote the book were obviously written by persons who never read it or maybe read only small parts.
