I bought this book new in 1981. it wasn't long before it was dog-eared and worn. Cobb deals with every aspect of what was then termed the survivalist movement, now called preppers. shelter, food, clothes, tool including firearms and a fantastic section on books. used copies can be a bit pricey but if you look long enough you can find one under $50. pick it up!
