This is a terrible movie for kids, because it sends all the wrong messages. I was cringing with my 5 year old next to me as they sang about the virtues of being "perfect" and that only "perfect" dolls, aka people, are lovable and that everyone else is ugly and ugly dolls are not lovable, instead they belong in the "recycling" aka trash. This movie sends entirely all the wrong messages to impressionable young minds. I'm guessing that at some point they were going to disavow all this nonsense and say that it was wrong, but after an hour of this hateful, hurtful language, I couldn't wait any longer for them to get to that part, so I took my son and left before he was exposed to anymore of it's negative messages. Shame on the people who put this out and marketed it to kids as a cute little movie about dolls. It's anything but! DO NOT take your young child to see it, unless you want them to be exposed to the culture's terrible messaging about how you have to be perfect to be OK. It's awful!!
