This is the ultimate fan tribute film, based on the popular television soap "Dark Shadows", which aired weekdays on ABC after General Hospital from 1966 to 1971. Johnny Dep, a Dark Shadows fan as a child, persuaded Tim Burton to direct the film. Four members of the original Dark Shadows cast appeared in the movie - Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins), Kathryn Leigh Scott (Josette Du Pres), Lara Parker (Angelique Bouchard), and David Selby (Quentin Collins). I enjoyed the movie, laughed at all the "in jokes", aimed at fans of the original television show. Some parts were overly long and should've been cut, but all in all, an enjoyable film. I don't own the DVD or digital copy, but I will watch it again from time to time, if it plays on Amazon Prime or Sling TV.
