The premise was interesting, but poorly executed. With few exceptions, the acting was dull and unbelievable. I found that as the movie progressed, I was completely apathetic in regards to whether the characters lived or died. A movie should never make an audience feel apathetic. I’d a character dies it might be appropriate to feel sadness, grief, satisfaction, or relief but never apathy. This film tried to capitalize on the dystopian trend without any real message or feeling. If you’re interested in a good dystopian series that actually grabs your attention, I’d watch The Handmaid’s Tale instead.
