Wonderful acting by Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan! I thoroughly appreciate the hair and make up effects that are ridiculously good! The movie left me feeling awestruck. I was taken aback by the black and white duration but it speaks to a specific moment in time that ties in well together with the colour part of the film!

Confusing and creative-Poor Things is a comical, albeit very explicit and bizarre social commentary film. The wonderful acting by Emma Stone coupled with an intriguing story line makes this film an enjoyable watch.

Absolutely loved this book! I randomly came across it and I'm so glad that I did. It's written in a manner that draws you in from the first page down to the last, full of twists and turns, and moments that make you wonder how the author can string ordinary words together but make it seem so extraordinary. This is one of those books, where I didn't read it for the character, or the plot, or the meaning, but it was the writing, the real...magical writing that made me stop at numerous points. I would freeze and just marvel at the creativity and prowess of the author in crafting not only this resilient character, and a unique world, but in tying words together to give them so much impact and meaning. Definitely worth a re-read, and a definite recommendation to anyone looking for strong characters, interesting plots and fantastic writing.
