It cost us $6.99 to watch this on demand and we would like our money back, as well as the 90 minutes spent watching it. This movie has some nicely shot scenes and a few glimpses of stunning Oregon landscape but the other 85 minutes are less than a nothing-burger. Was the point of this to make us realize that grief and loneliness are sad? The whole thing was just a slow burn to nowhere. Donโt be fooled by the positive reviews - they are like the silly pretentiousness that stares in awe at a canvas splattered with paint and describes the deep existential meaning found therein. For example, that Cage is left bloody throughout the film, even when sitting in an upscale restaurant, is a metaphor for what the restaurant industry can do to a talented, passionate chef, I suppose. Ok, big deal. The storyline and the characters were not developed enough for me to have made a connection, or to care for that matter.
