I like the concept and the plot is good, but the writing? Not so much. I am reading the first book right now and the writer relies too much on stereotypes for my taste. I am still gojng to read all the boojs in the series, but i hope that the style of narration will improve. Other than that, I do really like the plot and I think that this is a nice, fresh approach to the subject of magic. I also really enjoy how the author has used her background as a historian of science to introduce elements of science into the story.
