this movie left me in tears and it still leaves me heartbroken to this day , one of the most beautifully written , simple yet different in its own ways. When his dad gave him the speech in the end, was what brought the entire movie together, I think the beauty of this film was that the love Elio and Oliver had was never centered on the stigma of homosexuality, it wasnโt a forbidden or impossible love. It was just love, and as silly as it may sound, it truly embodied love is love, in regards to showing the simplicity of the circumstances in which they loved one another, yet the complex nature of their own personalities, which gave so much more intensity ti what was being felt as the movie progressed, because only in certain moments of the movie one would stop and be like โoh wait, this is supposed to be a tabooโ but it really wasnโt
