Just a so so movie. Nothing outstanding about the plot, but fight scenes were good. Just like another MGM studio movie this year “G20”, good concept, but somehow it feels awkward and unnatural when the director tried to stitch things together. Definitely has some issues regarding the story and characters developing. It gave me an impression that the project team spent 90% of the budget in the first 30 minutes, then they had to rush to wrap it up and get the project delivered on schedule. This movie also reminds me of the retro arcade beat 'em up style game, particularly “The punisher” (1993) with difficulty set to “Easy”. We all know Jason is no longer at his 20s or even earlier 30s when he cast in the Crank, make the enemies weak and stupid actually won’t make Statham a badass.

If you don’t like reading novels, this probably isn’t your movie, but if reading is your thing, then you would enjoy every minute of this film. Although this movie doesn’t have the so-called happy ending showing in recent years’ love theme movies, and people don’t quite enjoy tragedy (at least I don’t), it does tell a darn good love story, which reminds me the old 1970s Love Story theme song, and by the end of the story Nick at least can hold Mae “till the stars all burn away” in the couples’ endless and pure happy memories after knowing the truth about his lover.

The most ridicules thrill movie I've ever watched. I would think Sharknado probably will be even better. Alligator can bite off the dad's arm, but when the daughter got bitten on the arm, she'd even able to pull the trigger and shot dead the gator when her arm was half way to the gator's digest system. When the fight was over, you can see there's only minor injury, without any first aid, moment later the wound magically stopped bleeding. It's a miracle! I got bitten by a cat once, I was sent to the ER to get stitched because the wound wouldn't close by itself, now you have a monster has the sixth strongest bite on this planet with roughly 2980 psi bite force, but our heroine only had some scratches, I guess either the gator is a senior gator without teeth, or Kaya's arms are made of steel alloy. Again, I would not recommend this movie to anyone who has a brain, otherwise, I'd be called a non-brainer and probably got sued to get two-hour of their lives back.
