This movie is absolutely incredible. It made me want to ACTUALLY live the rest of my life. I’m very happy to see Christians disliked this movie, it shows you’re doing something right. I understand it may be hard to follow if you have a very narrow outlook on ethics, morals, and the afterlife. I don’t think people should be upset about the portrayal of the afterlife. If your beliefs are so strong, then you should have no problem watching this movie and getting the message. As an atheist, former-Christian, and recent college graduate that’s trying to find my “calling,” this movie really did speak to me. This movie quite literally explains the message: nobody has a purpose, but everybody has a “spark” that makes you grateful to be here on Earth. That’s what’s beautiful about life: just finding joy that you’re alive — you don’t need to be in search of some greater motif, but find peace and enjoyment in the little things.
