A must watch! Love and food have been woven together in other movies too, but it's an upside down turn of the usual romanticised version that makes Aamis special. One thing that this movie subtly reminds me is that love is also about addressing dark and hidden passions which we can't reveal before everyone. This is a movie which is so beautiful that you forget that it's dangerous as well.

A romantic tale of a man brimming with the fragrance of innocence and love, like the flower garden he owns. Watch this movie for Mammootty, who enacts the lonely man with his aspirations for a marriage and family, with sheer naturality. I have not seen Mammootty anywhere better a lover than here- smiling, playful and dreamy. In spite of its defects(including subtle patriarchy hidden in almost all movies back then), this is a must watch for all people who have enjoyed the movies of 90s, being much better than many of them.
