fun gameplay, and enjoyable light hearted story. obviously not as epitomous as the first game but has charm

I liked the character of John Henry, but I don't think this movie really fleshed him out enough, alongside the rest of the characters. Pacing of this film felt more like a pilot to a series than an actual film. The myth and legend of John Henry didn't really captivate me here or nor did the film give me a sense of him being a "larger-than-life" character, though I appreciate the direction of humanizing him (loves his dog, has a gun PTSD, etc). Felt like it tried to be an entire season of Marvel's Luke Cage put into one movie. I like it for its potential. Not so much the final production.
