I’m sorry but watching this in tandem with Handmaid’s Tail really ruins the whole concept of women being captured and threatened with assault/rape/harm. Handmaids Tail is so ferocious on these fronts, that it’s hard to take the young actresses seriously. These two young girls should be terrified out of their minds, but somehow manage to have fully functioning, strategizing intellect. I would love to see them struggle with the psychological fact of being chained up and stuck in a container while they wait for rescue. I love the transgender input, her story is much richer than anything going on with the two young teenagers. I kept coming back to the show because of the weird captor (who has major mommy issues) but the rest of the writing leaves me wanting. This is a filler between shows that I fully enjoy. The storyline is there, but the writing is absolutely awful. Anyways, people seem to love the show and I gave it my due diligence.
