Wilfred Lambert was one of the pre-eminent Orientalists of the 20th century, and his death in 2011 robbed that discipline of one of its greatest minds. His magnum opus, Babylonian Wisdom Literature, was published when he was still a young man of 41, and has never been surpassed. Anyone with more than a passing interest in the biblical Wisdom tradition needs to buy and read a copy of Lambert's work cover-to-cover. Doing so is an extremely enlightening exercise.

This is a great undergraduate text, which is why it is the best-selling textbook in project management. In addition, this text has without a doubt the best and most extensive exercises available for teaching AND learning network diagramming. There really is nothing like it on the market. It is not, however, a good graduate text, lacking adequate treatment of theory. In fact, it is books of this sort that give project management the reputation of being "a praxis, but not an academic discipline". PM is in fact both, and at the graduate level, a different text is needed.
