Happened to watch this movie last weekend and as a general audience, I would like to give a good review on this movie after looking at how badly the Indian reviewers have rated it. I firstly want to appreciate the director/story-writer for picking up this story line amidst all the male-centric movies we have been bombarded with. I personally got connected with the struggle and the people's mindsets she has to deal with to get to the position she wants to. This movie portrays the basic idea of feminism.. it portrays very neatly a message, what a woman has to go through to get to a position "equal" to a man. I am definitely sure 90% of Indian women have to go against their parents words, get labelled for choosing a "wrong path" which are not actually "meant for women". This movie brings the same point to light. I hope this movie opens up market for more women-centric stories to be shown on the big screen. This story deserves a good review thus encouraging more people to write stories on the discrimination of women's basic rights, which is to be treated equally to a man and patriarchy in our Indian society.
