I actually liked the movie. I live 25 minutes away from the actual Tulia, TX and it looks nothing like that so that was kinda funny. Anyway, I think people expect too much from movies. Just let it be what it is and you will enjoy it a lot more. If you’re not one of those people that tries to predict the outcome or poke holes in the plot, you will enjoy the movie. Of course you find yourself putting yourself in the mom’s position and possibly vascillating between a couple of different stages of Lawrence Kohlberg’s moral development. I’d say I’d give it a 4/5.
