Addictive! A bodice-ripping starship that is close to melodrama but brakes before hitting that quicksand of unrelenting sentimentality. The leads are good, the women outshine the men I think. Production design is not quite up to 'Versaille's level of sumptuosity. But then I have rarely seen a historical drama up to those standards.
