Witty, and acerbic, with great actors drolly lampooning the rough edges of polite British society. The crisp black and white photography adds a theatrical air that is appropriate for this โstageyโ production. Timothy Spall steals the movie as the startlingly gaunt husband who may be reaching his last days on terra firms. Not up to Pinter, or Ayckbourn, perhaps, but nonetheless worthy of one hour, and eleven minutes of your time. Grade- A-/B+
