I had high hopes for this adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. At the beginning, I thought Ann(e) was delightful. However, If anyone has read the book(s), this does not capture the true characters of Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert or truthfully any of these people we grew up with and cherished, especially Ann(e). The adolescents who’ve either chosen or been told to watch this instead of reading the book(s), have really been misled. Lucy Maud Montgomery would be so disappointed.
