I hated it. So much. I watched both the trailers on Netflix and they genuinely kept me up at night. The trailers were masterfully edited and gripping. However, the trailers were sincerely just the “best parts” (if I can even call them that) of this joke of a movie. It’s as though the team behind Velvet Buzzsaw exhausted all their editing efforts on the trailers and the first ten minutes of the movie, then gave up or died. This movie tries to be edgy and funny, but horribly fails to attain any semblance of those traits. How can a movie be edgy without even taking a stance on what’s supposed to be the topic of the movie? All the characters were insufferable and I’d like to chalk that up to good acting but I’m skeptical of that. This movie was stupid, lazy, tamer than a housecat and incredibly uninspired. Do not waste your time on this movie unless you want a one hour and fifty one minute hole in your life which you can never get back.
