Im a fan and supporter of Angel Studios, so this review is not political, anti-God or any of the other ridiculous reasons for poor reviews. I just genuinely thought Homestead sucked. For goodness sake, who wrote this monstrosity?? I beg the people in charge to invest in better writers! Just one example: Here you have a man who created the biggest best most well fortified homestead for when SHTF… but when his hired security guy wants to close gates etc, this guy is like “oh gee, why would we do that?”. Unacceptable.

Ive only watched two episodes, so to be fair I gave 3 stars.. but if the whole show plays out like these first two episodes Id give it one to two stars. Of course Im a Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford fan, but even their participation isnt enough to keep me watching. It could be that Im easily bored.

I adore Dean Winchester. Jensen Ackles is the reason Ive watched Countdown. Its ok. Jensen, of course, is great. It’s the writers I have a problem with, but Ill keep watching it. When is Jensen Ackles going to get the role he deserves, with big budgets, good writers, directors and actors? Countdown isnt bad, its just not fantastic. It’s good. We look forward to watching it each week. This guy has award worthy acting skills.

Good silly show. Love it! The 4th season (so far) isnt my favorite. Harrys jokes etc feel too toned down. But, even so, its a good watch! Give Harry his snark back 😊

It was only ok to me, but hubs liked it a lot. Ryan Reynolds did not have enough jokes/jabs/etc. I was bored more than a couple of times, laughed out loud 5 or so times. I really only went for the jokes and such against Disney and their freak-agenda, and show them people WILL go to movies if they get the DEI out of their face holes… but in reality all I did was give Disney my dollars. Ive been disappointed and disgusted by Disney, like the rest of the sane world, for a few years now. People are leaving 5 star reviews, so Im glad RR’s stab at killing off DEI went well for those people!

What the gibberish did I just watch? I like a good SHTF flick, but dang, when produced by progressive nincompoops, it really sucks. Dumpster dive of an ending. Well, the beginning and middle had some dumpster stank on them, too. Anyone with any brain cells already knows, and is prepared for (or getting there) for what is coming. We have been for a good while! Oh well, like i said, nincompoops. At least maybe they are starting to open their eyes… come on over to the right side, where we are prepared, educated and willing to teach.

There is no situation where Hugh Laurie should have to share the screen with the likes of Mark Ruffalo. Hugh Laurie was fantastic as usual. Mark Ruffalo was a buffoon, as usual. That being said, it was an ok watch, except for the abhorrent acting from Ruffalo. Not great. Not terrible . It sounds like people love the book… Ill try the book next!

I really like Angel Studios, but this particular film wasnt a big hit with me. I dont like anything SciFi, so I knew going in that it wasnt my style. The other two people I went with really liked it (SciFi fans) and we had a good chat about it on the drive home. I can say the writing, acting, directing, all were very well done! And the story line of light vs dark was spot on. If you like scifi you’ll like this. As for the people complaining that Angel Studios asks for money at the end credits, lets be honest… they ask you to buy a ticket for someone who wouldn’t otherwise go see it. That’s great!! We live in crazy times when people have a problem with buying a movie ticket to a Christian made movie, but pat themselves on the back publicly for supplying needles instead of actual help. Angel Studios, keep it up!
