Watched this movie recently. It was a break from the staple genre of Scorsese and De Niro collaboration. A weak storyline standing solely on the shoulder of exceptional acting chops of the ensemble cast. De Niro just never ceases to amaze on screen, once again he proved why is he counted as one of the finest actors of the century. Moulding into the character of a delusional man obsessed with his celebrity idol "Jerry"; he absolutely did justice while playing the role of a 34 year old de-glam broke who lives with his mother .The one who was shy enough to take 20 years for asking a date to his crush but now is so desperate and passionate to make a mark in the stand up comedy business. The movie has few hilarious moments in pieces and is mostly a depiction of creepy, clingy and obsessive behaviour that celebs have to go through on a regular basis. One great lesson from the movie - " Better to be king for a night than a schmuck for a lifetime ". Trivia: Robert De Niro's then wife Diahnne Abbott played his love interest in the film

The film is sublime. A poignant love story that kept lingering on my mind for a few days after my first watch. Endearing performance by the ensemble cast. The lead characters are mute yet so impactful. Those emotive eyes, body language are enough to prove their acting prowess. The opening narration sets the right tone for the fable in line with the Beauty and the Beast story. The visuals are very appealing. The damp, moist ambience portrayed in different frames has a distinct smell which could be re-lived and sensed by a deeply engaged viewer...the ever so watery research center, blood-water concoction on the damp floor, algae laden bath tub, a wash room completely filled with water or water dripping from the theater ceiling etc. The movie is capable of transposing viewers to an altogether different era. It was so fascinating to experience the power of excellent set designing, compelling story telling and an innocent love story all at the same time.

A light hearted movie, definitely worth a watch. It's always a delight to watch a Robin Williams' comedy on screen.

Unexpectedly, found this movie surprisingly good. Story was fast paced. Lino's grey character was layered, well written and portrayed exceptionally well by the charismatic & magnetic green eyed actor Ismael. As the film progresses and this particular character slowly unravels itself, I bet viewers are bound to experience vividly changing emotions towards this character viz. dislike, disgust, hate, sympathy, like and ultimately feeling betrayed. Hoping for a sequel soon !

This film is worth a single watch, just for the star attraction Will Smith and the VFX effect to create the de-aged clone of Will Smith. Fast paced action sequence,typical run-chase sprawling across nations, as such no such wow moments. Personally, I felt despite having such a star, this film could not properly showcase the emotional bond between the character Henry and his clone.

This sequel puts the film franchise a notch higher above the previous one. The plot is innovative, high tech. Creativity at its best with concept of food+animals = foodimals e.g Potato+Hippo =Hippopotatamus Watermelon+Elephant= Watermelophant Shrimp+Chimpanzee =Shrimpanzee Tacos+Crocodile =Tacodile Banana+Ostrich = Bananostrich and many more such strange creatures to keep viewers irrespective of their age hooked to this food paradise.🥰

Very entertaining and novel theme. It was a visual treat to see food fall from sky be it bacons, noodles and especially icecream. Such a feel good movie, wish I was there !

A brave attempt by Robert Redford and the whole team, atleast they dared to raise the correct questions regarding the so called "War on Terror". A thought provoking film. Despite a star studded package with great performers... Lions for Lambs is very slow in pace, it would have looked great as acts in theatre.

This is clearly De Niro's most underrated performance. The plot starts off mysteriously, is action packed and has political undertones. Excellent car chases and neat performance by all the actors makes this film class apart. The contents of the brief case still remains a mystery. Some memorable dialogues as life lessons : 1.“Either you're part of the problem or you're part of the solution or you're just part of the landscape.” 2. “At the end of the day we are likely to be punished for our kindnesses.” 3. “Everyone's your brother until the rent comes due.”

A light hearted movie, may be watched just once for the exceptionally sweet character played by Mark Ruffalo.
