Do you love He-man? Do yourself a favour. Watch only the first episode, then check out the spoilers. Save yourself some time watching any further, and don't give them credit for this travesty. Then go back and rewatch the original and 2002 series. Yes, it's that bad. Badly written, badly conceptualized. The animation is the only good thing. This is not for He-man fans. Kevin Smith is on record as saying he "doesn't like He-man", and, boy, it sure shows. He gets killed off twice in five episodes. He-man is completely removed from having any pivotal point in the show. And yes, despite what you may have heard, this is woke in all it's glory. The woke folk absolutely love this show (mainstream critics, bleeding hearts). And let's be honest, people. Teela and Master's of the Universe, is a much more apt title. But Mattel wouldn't have had that because the majority of existing fans wouldn't have touched this with a ten foot pole. Check out the misleading trailer.(Awesome trailer, most scenes cut from episode one). He-man is featured heavily, calling on the power of Grayskull. But they could have played 'Sisters are doing it for themselves' instead of Bonnie Tylers 'Holding out for a hero', for all it mattered. Don't hold out because it gets worse. Yes it seems most likely Savage He-man is in part 2? The He-man you have when you don't have He-man. Basically, it's He-man with a lobotomy. And judging by Teela's beefy looks, shaved head, attitude problems, and lesbian inclination. I'm sure Teela will have no trouble putting He-man 'Hulk' on a very short and tight leash. Teela drooled over He-man in the original series. Don't screw with established characters, Kevin. Oops, too late. I'm not watching part 2 of this series. Not interested really. Give this to the huge fanbase of woke folk. They can have it. Check out CineDope 's review.
