Dire.
Shortly into the first show, when the "psychic" detective looks at the "crime" scene, all the clues appear to light up for him and he gets images in his head of what happened,it becomes apparent that if this over-used trope is their best effort at a gripping start, you won't want to watch the rest.
Curiosity carried me on through until that other c-rated tv stalwart - the never ending (awful) background "mood music",in this case poorly imitating that of the X-Files,amongst other supernaturally themed mystery series' - resulted in watching becoming unbearable. This coincided with the appearance of the titular Sanctuary team with their comic book script, clichรฉd over-dramatic and perfectly annunciated voices and seriously bad acting...
So many terrible,awful lines.
I left when the Sanctuary boss lady told the psychic detective that " We don't like to call them 'Monsters' - We prefer 'Abnormals' " (which cracked me up).
Apologies if I've judged it too soon but I couldn't watch any more.
The pilot/1st ep of a series should be its showcase. This is more of a desperate attempt to gain an audience in viewers at the lowest level of human discernment - presumably because no-one else is likely to tolerate it.
You are better than this;Don't waste your time.
