Loved the Witcher for so many reasons but mainly because it led me into a world of fantasy, politics, intrigue, monsters and much more without taking itself too seriously, something I think most of the reviewers should also consider doing. It made me laugh, it made me cry, get angry and want to scream, but mostly it made me want to see more, even the silliness which is what fantasy is all about. And while some aspects such as visual effects were not great it soon made up for it in cinematography and wonderful characters which I thought the actors did a great job bringing to life. Especially the role of Geralt was impressive with his complex fight choreography and the amount of expression he was able to convey for such a taciturn character. For a monster hunter who should not be so lovable the writers and the actor did a damn good job of making it otherwise. I can't wait to see S2 and see the story expand and develop further. I feel the first season was just setting up for the story to come.
I want more.
