In today's world of meaningless violence and sex scenes that do nothing to move the story forward, McMafia is a breath of fresh air. This is clearly written by someone who understands what today's 21st century audience demands, not some senseless gory violence.
The global canvas of the storyline is only accentuated by the versatility of the locales and the details in every scene. The top-notch casting, taught storyline and the fact that "you have no idea what is going to happen in the next scene" keeps you on the edge-of-your-seats as the series changes genres from "a father-daughter noir tale" to "Godfatheresque to "the Jason Bourne series", just when your brain starts to form synapses to try to recognize where you think this scene is "inspired" from, it punches you right in the gut - BOOM!
5* rating and clearly a must see, my favorite character - is Dmitri Godman. He owns every scene he is in, even towering over Alexander Godman, especially in the father-son scenes.
