This isn't a movie, it's an experience. 96 is about the love between Ram and Janu, who were sweethearts in 10th grade but drifted apart later. 22 years later they meet again in a reunion and their suppressed feelings spark off again. Much more than a thoroughly enjoyable love story, the movie deeply connects with us. We can relate to the characters and experiences. It also makes us question the choices we make and bring out bitter sweet memories from our childhood. The acting is top of the class. Ram and Janu, both young and as adults are extremely realistic. Shyness of Ram is cute to watch. Also, the ending of the movie couldn't have been better. Last, what makes this movie magical is the music that touches your soul. It is a MUST WATCH for kids who grew up in the 90s.
