Yeah, this was solidly terrible. The main plot line was painful. When the lead actor got his axe stuck in the stump, I wish it was stuck in me. There are some montages that feel like a prescription drug commercial, but the only drug I wanted was a lethal dose of morphine. Also, it's not a Christmas movie at all, except for the date. The secondary plot line of Leo and Manny's relationship was definitely my favorite part. Maybe if I had a bottle or two of the wine it would have gone better. Honestly it's just a hallmark type movie, if that's what you're into. Netflix recommended it to me as something similar to national lampoon's... I will say producing a movie during covid couldn't have been easy, and it was better than a lot of other flicky 'Christmas' movies.
