It is a great reboot. It is reflective, yet current. If you don't get it or identify with it, it is probably because you do not know the totality of the Black experience. I see sit back watch and learn. I watched the original and use the original in my courses. I didn't identify with much of it, but I still enjoyed the show and the frame.
