Some parts of the film are truthful, from the little I know about Americ a n history. Other parts are exaggerated, biased, anti-democratic-party propaganda, lies, distortions, and half-truths. For example, the modern KKK or other hate groups are more likely to support Republicans, not Democrats, but there is no mention in the film.

Lies. Conspiracies. Atheism leads to eugenics and genocide. Propaganda film against scientists who believe in evolution.

It probably is an accurate representation of the journey Strobel went through even though Strobel's assertion that he was an atheist is arguable because he did not have much of an understanding of Christain theology.  He appears less skeptical than he claims. It is a fact that people don't rise from being dead, but Strobel seems to not have much difficulty in the movie in accepting the possibility that Jesus did.  He believes questionable or unreliable sources written 40 to100 years later, like the Gospels, which started as oral accounts by biased people who wanted embellish the stories to gain believers.
