Spoiler alert. I came here to read the reviews because I was shocked at how bad the show was and wondered if poor ratings was the reason for the discontinuation of the show, but now Iโm shocked at how many people have bought into the plot. Iโm not willing to have my disbelief suspended by too much, so there is that. But even though I could see the premise was nonsensical from the start, I thought the show looked reasonably ok to begin with. It was nevertheless downhills all the way. Had they sticked with the idea that the astronauts switched realities and came back to a different reality, then ok. Maybe we could buy into that somehow. But then thereโs the bizarre folie a deux with the daughter whoโs also disorientated and talks to her other self through cassette tapes and mirrors. An entire hour is wasted on confusing and completely implausible adventures in a snowy landscape with mum and daughter looking for each other (and no, it doesnโt even seem like hallucinations, which would have made some kind of sense). The nonsense and confusion was mind numbing and I had to skip most of it. In addition, I thought most of the characters were morose and depressing, and not in a good (interesting) way. The nods to christianity seemed out of place in the context, especially as such notions were not explored in any meaningful way. I have no idea how Bud/Henry knew about each other. Finally (because I donโt have all day and already wasted too much time on all this), Iโm not a space nerd but Iโm pretty sure a hole in a space craft is the end of the whole crew (but like others have pointed out, a hole is not that easy to achieve).
