I chose this series because I thought it would be interesting to watch a woman solely rely on herself to save herself from horrific conditions. I really enjoyed this series. The scenery is gorgeous, the actress did a phenomenal job, the side plot of flashbacks of her life gave you an insight to the kind of person the character was, and wondering how or even if she was going to save herself kept me on edge.
I read some of the other reviews (and everyone of course is entitled to their opinion) but just kind of downing her acting and her decision making??? She went through every emotional stage from mad, to sad, to crying and balling (with real wet tears from her actual eyeballs mind you) to laughing...just everything. Male actors LIVE in unrealistic scenes ALL THE TIME, jumping from planes, trains, and automobiles, fighting lions and tigers, and come out with one long scratch on their face, come out unscathed after a bomb explodes in their face, and they're respected, 20 million per film sex symbols. She did great, she was determined to Liv (I caught that that was her name) she dove in that water, handled those falls and kept pushing. I bet making this series was physically exhausting for her. I looovvved the ending, it was beautiful scenery when she was flowing down the river. Everyone did a great job! We should support heroic women roles. People work hard, give them some credit:) I think sometimes people who aren't artists and have never put themselves out there to create something for consumers to purchase, don't understand and are a little harsh...no shade.
