If you thought Gwyneth Paltro came across as a bit of an out of touch flog when she termed her split from Chris Martin a โconcious uncouplingโ then I doubt youโll be able to stomach Prince Harryโs wifeโs Netflix series. Iโm usually a bit of a โcockeyed optimistโ and try to see the best in everyone and every situation. So whilst housesitting for a friend I thought Iโd pop on an episode and try to turn my negative thoughts about a person who, lets face it, I donโt know from a bar of soap, into something a bit more positve.
But yeah, nah, yeah.
Turns out, that wonโt be happening. Thereโs something really insufferable about a person using terms to describe a thing they just did by saying โisnโt it just darling?โ or โI like to create moments for my guests to show I was thinking about themโ
Not that Iโm saying itโs wrong to create these so called โmomentsโ for people coming to visit. But the constant explaining why everything that happens is so โthoughtfulโ and โintentionalโ made me want to bring up my breakfastst. There was also this relentless atempt at trying to make everything seem so relaxed in a โI woke up like disโ and โlook at how easy going I amโ kind of way, which you can instantly tell is horse shit when the guest eats a mouthful of homade jam off a spoon unscripted and for a split second you can see the displeasure on her face and get the feeling if the cameras werenโt there, a snide remark would have been incoming.
I do feel bad in way, what a shit life having your every facial expression and movement analysed. All the money in the world wouldnโt be worth that bollocks.
To be honest I feel like a bit of an out of touch flog myself for writing a post about such things when there are so many more important topics I could be thinking about. โPeople are dying Kimโ
