This semi-western covers the time period well, depicting the hard, lawless life in a mining camp, where there's not much morality or law. These short lived towns came and went with the flow of gold and riches, never meant to last long under such harsh conditions. The cast carries the storyline and script well, and the photography and direction contribute to a entertaining movie. The only thing that hurts the film is the feeling of it being dated, but it is over sixty five years old.
