Its a great well written, well directed and well casted, and well acted clever yet very simple forbidden romance plot film from 1945, in black and white. Different plot but it somehow resonated within me of the Jack Nicholson film version of "The Postman Always Ring Twice", the cruelty and disappointment of love triangles that sometimes occur.
