Both Baris and Elcin are amazing actors and give this series life! its exciting, funny and emotional all at the same time. The perfect combination for a good rom-com But that's what it is, a light rom com drama. So don't pay much attention to the story as some plotlines are pointless and nonsensical. May even need to skip some side characters' scenes because they're annoying. second season was much better than the first plus the first was just too long.

the first season was exceptionally good but the second was terrible. pointless storylines and characters. the last episode was the only tolerable one. Baris is an extremely talented actor.

Very cute tender love story. Could've done better in some aspect (e.g Ali's backstory) but a nice weekend watch.

just finished watching it and I miss it already. Asli and Ferhat have explosive chemistry!! But it doesn't just end at romance, the plot also goes deeper into their characters and you actually see a lot of evolution. Their past, traumas, flaws are all discussed. the side characters are also very endearing. Multiple twists and sub plots, some great and some not so great but the characters make everything worth it. The only downside is that each episode is around 2 hours long and there are 32 episodes so you can't really binge it over a weekend. If I had to recommend someone one turkish drama this would be it.

I did not expect a movie of such caliber from bollywood! The performances are strong but what steals the show is the complex yet simple storyline. This is a film about rape and what follows when one speaks out, especially when the rapist comes from a very priveledged background. It's a tale we've heard multiple times just told from 3 different perspectives. The surviver, the accused and the accused's girlfriend. Does a good job of discussing the nuances of consent, power and public perception. It is a bollywood film so the setting may seem a little too flamboyant sometimes but nothing too detrimental. The end will surely make you cry! This is a must watch.

Absolutely love Taapsee Pannu and the roles she chooses. This was no different. Thappad starts off with a regular house wife and her family in an upper middle class household. The setting and character's everyday life is something we can all relate to. The script is witty and humerus until it deliberately chooses not to. Filled with subtle cues here and there that hint to a character's hidden persona and comment on society simultaneously. Even though it aims to deliver an important message, there's enough drama and bollywood glamour to get by. Amazing performances, strong script and an intense yet satisfying end make thappad the masterpiece that it is!

Not the best series out there but major props for representation! I've never watched a hollywood series where south asian families were shown in such depth. Has a lot of regular high school drama and cliches but that is what it aimed to do. Even when it comes to depicting brown families there were some flaws e.g the mother letting her 15 year old daughter move into some stranger's house. Not bad but not amazing either. Watch it if you'd like to know a little bit more about brown families or if you'd like to see a reflection of yourself on screen.

Amazing performances. Does a good job of portraying the complex relationships between family members, but should have focused more on Romeo's (Adnan Malik) character and story.
