My husband and I recently have watched the Yellowstone series and 1883 (through episode 4). Yet in 99 minutes, Old Henry packs more suspense and entertainment into a single western-themed film than an entire season of Yellowstone. And we are big Yellowstone fans. Old Henry offers amazing character acting, incredible suspense, excellent action scenes with solid gunslinging sequences, coupled with gut-wrenching betrayal. And frankly, I don’t even care about westerns, but this is among the best I’ve seen, comparing back to Unforgiven, Dances With Wolves and Eastwood’s great western films. Watch it. You’ll enjoy it.

On episode 6 or so and love it! Some of the best television I’ve seen in years.

This movie had so many layers of humor, and deep thoughts about relationships between men, women and societal expectations, oppression and discrimination, and misogyny, topped with a dressing of buffoonery. Wow. Haven’t laughed that hard in a long time, yet I was glad to take my daughters and their friend to see it. I’d watch the film again, maybe several times. Great work. I think the people who would appreciate the film the least are the ones who need it the most.
