To begin, I didn't have high expectations for the movie, but I did believe it could be good none the less.
I had hoped that this movie would answer important questions and fill in plot holes that were missing in the first two movies of this trilogy. Granted the movie did do so, but in my opinion in a bad manner. I did find there to be great content in the film and was satisfied with it. The main issue I see wrong with this film is its poor execution. The movie was rushed, it did not allow the viewer to savor the moment, or allow it to sink in. During certain moments of the movie where intense emotions were being displayed by the main characters, I didn't feel as if I was sharing in their pain, I didn't feel apart of it . Mainly due to the scenes being rushed and being forced unto me. I know Star Wars films can be fast-paced movies, however, they still allow the audience to savor on the important moments, to feel the moment to become apart of it. I felt nothing in this movie. I did not feel as if I was apart of the movie. I was just some random guy watching a rushed, forced, corny Disney movie. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good Disney movie, but this was not one of them. In my opinion, this movie should have been a least a three-hour movie.
