For many people like myself, the original show and story of the Journey to the West was a blast to watch and learn about and read, this however is a step back into the abyss of whitewashing, its just sad. Monkey does not even have close to enough charisma as the real Sun Wukong had, and they twisted the story so its just weird now. I just think its a weak redo written for white and western audiences. Give them the real Journey to the West because thats what they should learn about and appreciate.
