Just finished watching season 2 and I look forward to the 3rd season. But it took me until the last 3-4 episodes of this season to really start liking this show. The actors have improved their acting skills and the lines are not as cheezy as they used to be.
I don't mind writers inputing political views or real-life LA in the scenes. But it just seems so abrupt and almost without purpose. Those little moments/issues stick out like a sore thumb and don't really have resolutions. It's like someone saying "By the way, did you know...?" and everyone else looking like, "okaaaay, and...?"
Also, I wish more characters had powers, or that they learned how to use them faster!
I have to say that Nico is my favorite when she uses her powers, She's so badass!! It gives me goosebumps to see her passion and strength as she handles the situation. Leaves everyone speechless.
I think the actors are doing the best they can with the lines they have. I just hope the writers are able to develop the story better without using lines that are basically stating each step. Like "now we're going to do this. And now we're going to do that." Just do the damn thing!
I know these comments sound a little more negative than I intended. But it is only so that if the writers and producers of this show read our comments, they can pick up some tips from their audience in order to get a few more seasons going. Much love to the Runaways!!
