Although much improved. It still lacks depth that we had even 17 years ago. No team newspaper or radio. Tony Bruno said in a statement he would absolutely love to come back and do another madden radio show... although they added contract restructuring, free agents still sign a 1 year baseline contract when signed during the season, they may have added stuff to the playbook but we STILL CANNOT create our own... Again, we could do this 17 years ago... Yeah they added more relocation cities and more options for jerseys... You still CANNOT actually customize anything like we could 17 years ago... 17 years ago you could move to any major city in the United States and I believe a few cities in Canada and Mexico.. 17 years ago you could fully customize jerseys and spend literal hours creating your own team... you used to be able to set ticket prices and choose what type of food your stadium sold, you used to have contract holdouts who would refuse to play if you didn't sign them to a new deal or promise tp give them more playing time... None of that exists in 2023 and that is absolutely disgusting. The ball carrier ai is great... no lie, the game itself plays amazing... Just the amount of small details that used to make the game amazing simply does not exist anymore. We want the small details. A less cartoonish and more professional looking franchise mode. The layout has been horrible since the ps4 came out.. Just small things they could do to improve the game and make it great again they simply refuse to do. The trading improvements are great.. The gameplay has been heading in the right direction for a few years... the depth of the game just isn't there. I admit it has improved over the years but the actual aspects of running a team in franchise no longer exist and haven't in almost 2 decades.
