Lost Girl is an amazing supernatural thriller that tries to attach some science to the magic with a great story and acting, however the special effects are basic at best. Add to this a soap-opera like background sounds and scenes along with typical haunted-house effects and you ruin a chance for a truly awesome TV series. Season 4 is filled with melodrama having nothing to do with the main characters (BO's) quest to find her true nature and her bloodlines which is pivotal to the main story. Season 5 makes up for season 4 by transcending cheap theatrics and staying with BO and all issues important to her. The series finale brings it all together with a great but not perfect ending, as BO's status in the Fae world is not mentioned.

A wonderful story that passes by too fast, seemingly missing some of the finer details of her younger life.

A good movie to watch. The nude scenes are few and short. So we are left with a story about life in a bordello in 1917 New Orleans. amusing at times, but no place to be raising a young girl. Violet screaming from being raped is disgusting and should have been omitted from the soundtrack.

Pure magic, existing as music.

Love this show. Love the characters. Of a scope no one can touch.

Great acting, but sad to say there is no 'story' in the story. No one character dominates, and it spends much time on corrupt politicians, police and local hoodlums. Often violent endings in each episode takes away any hope that those with magic can change anything for the better.

A wonderful mix of greed, lust, and petty backstabbings, along with a clever writing style. Add in handsome men, beautiful women drowning in bling-bling, and panoramic views and you have a feast for the senses
