This movie has great acting from Cillian Murphy. Maybe the best I’ve ever seen him. The writing and directing is overall disappointing. I knew Christopher Nolan had problems writing women characters by the time I saw Tenet, but I never thought that he might actually have issues with them until this movie. He makes the main character, who is arrogant, a cheater, and a liar seem like a hero and a good man. And he does this by trying to make the women around him seem even worse, as though this makes his actions justifiable. Meanwhile the rest of the men in this movie are trying to destroy the world, and are cheering each other on in the process. So what’s the message here? Oppenheimer is a hero for having remorse?
I think the question is, just because Christopher Nolan COULD make this movie, does that mean he SHOULD?
