Feels like a bait and switch. As if the writer started out writing an apocalyptic thriller then gave up half way through because tying it up in any semblance of plausible way was too much work so they simply decided to cut it there. I guess if the point of the movie was to waste 2 hours of my life then, well they succeeded. I think this might take top spot for the worst film I've ever seen. Less of a story arc and more of a story ramp... built up a whole series of catastrophic events only to go from 100 to 0 in a single ridiculous scene and then cut to credits. Totally infuriating unbelievable characters throughout, I more than once questioned if it was in fact a parody...I'm genuinely still not sure. Feels like lazy writing disguised as something deep.
