Perfection in the form of a game if you approach it seriously, instead of casually like it's Mario or Skyrim. Not for those who need their hand held the whole time, but Elden Ring does more of that than the previous soulsborne titles do. The lore is amazing, but the fine details are found through environmental storytelling, item descriptions, and the interactions the player can engage in.
There are those that complain about the pacing of bosses, that you have a difficult boss, then an easy boss, then a difficult boss, and then an out of place easy boss. But if you look at where they're placed from a lore perspective, it all begins to make sense. Another note about that, is that the developers would have wanted the player to be able to see the growth and scaling of their own power. A boss that the player fought previously, could be reused randomly placed later on, but you should have a much easier time dealing with them than the first time almost making them a normal enemy.
There is also an intended path the player is actually meant to take as the health bar and damage that enemies deal is relative to the location you found them in. A cleanrot knight you find in an early game zone like Luirna or Caelid, will be easier fight than a cleanrot knight you find at the Haligtree. This is because the enemies scale up based on the location of the player. But fear not soon to be Tarnished -- the guidance of grace will illuminate the path to many victories.
