Had high expectations from the film, given the great line of franchise preceding it. However, was let down on a multitude of metrics, namely
1. Plot:
New characters, quite unnecessary to the plot continuing thus were introduced in a bid to have some motive for the movie to have that many action scenes, however, the plot hade several holes along with the much hated plot armor keeping the protagonists alive at odd situations.
In conclusion, the plot was a flimsy excuse on a comparative with past movies and was sadly a disappointment.
2.Acting:
Even though the beloved actors from the very first movie were brought back, probably as a way to hinting that this would be the last installment in the series and a method to nicely wrap the same up. The lines given to them in an attempt to inject humor into the plot were poorly written and added nothing but a cringe element to an already falling apart story. The movie we all loved had elements of heroism and well placed humor, illustrated through scenes rather than through lines.
3. Action Scenes:
The choreography of the scenes was absolutely splendid, however, the frequency and the absurdity of surviving the same is what should be questioned. Perpetually being driven to the edge of one's seat during a movie is not always a good thing.
