I read Carl Hiaasen's Miami Herald columns when I lived in Key West in the 1970s and 1980s. Carl Hiaasen's fiction can not REALLY be translated into a TV show because all of his books (and I have read them all) are such fantastic Florida exposes on the weirdest, craziest people, animals and plots that define Florida. THIS. THIS TV SHOW IS GARBAGE and an insult to Carl Hiaasen's GENIUS.
