The phrase “Star Wars is for kids” shines bright in this show. Contradictory to all the war crimes committed by R2-D2 alone, this show paints a picture that maybe a 5 year old would enjoy. Beginning to doubt any sort of future for Star Wars, and if you want the real thing read the books or watch the Originals.

Since M. Night Shamalan really screwed the pooch with the movie.. I really had no expectations for the show; especially, given that it’s Netflix behind the scenes. They messed up The Witcher and now it’s Avatars turn. Sad to see beloved series get ruined by Netflix, but it’s nothing new. After growing up watching the original masterpiece and seeing this flat-as-a-board excuse… it’s just sad. The comedy is for that of a three year old, not to mention details being twisted: Aang’s cheesy talk with Appa about his problems before taking off, instead of leaving a note for Gyatso and taking off on his own; not to mention a missed opportunity when Aang wrecked Zuko and his ship ALL the way, which brought him to the port and face to face with Zhao. Point blank - I don’t know how you go from burning a guy alive in the first three minutes to three year old humor that isn’t even that funny.
